For our print division you should be tall, slim and in good physical shape. We are looking for females that are over 5'8" and males over 6'. You should also be between the ages of 14 and 25. For our commercial division you look have a unique facial features and a well proportioned body. For the sophisticated division all of the above applies except the age which is anywhere between 30 and 60. Plus models must fit the above primary fashion height and age requirements and be a size 8-16.To be considered byRED, you should send one clear headshot of you with a resume, which should include years of training, experience, and special notes, and at least four photos of your work. If you represent a company, please, send brief company info as well.
There are no set rules in the modeling business but it does help to be tall and able to fit the specific clothes for a particular division. Clothes for fashion shoots and runway shows are made in very limited sizes and if you can't fit them, it's very hard to get work.
RED represents models and actors in Los Angeles Metro Area Only. If you live outside the city or in a different state, you will need to relocate to be considered for representation.

No, it does not. RED TALENT does not charge any upfront fees. We work on commission basis only.
You should not wear any make up in your pictures. It is best if we can see you natural skin tone.
No, you do not. The pictures you send do not need to be taken by a professional photographer. Of course, if you have professional pictures, you are welcome to send them; however, we prefer to receive simple snap shots or Polaroids, which give us an accurate idea what you look like. We suggest that you have a family member of friend snap a quick roll or two. Please, limit your photo submission to minimum requirements.
Most definitely. It is critical that you have the best marketing materials to withstand fierce Hollywood competition. Our business clients will make their judgments about you based on the looks at the pictures. The saying "Do not judge the book by its cover" does not apply to modeling business.
Color images are definitely preferred.
No, you do not need to send a portfolio at first. Only if we agree work with you, we will ask you to furnish the agency with a copy of your book.
If you are a model, remember to always include your basic measurements with your photos. If you are a female, your measurements must include: age, height, bust, waist, hips, hair color, and eye color. If you are a male, your measurements must include: your height, chest, waist, inseam, hair color, and eye color. If you are an actor, you will need to send your resume listing your training and acting experience along with a cover letter that will describe your objectives.
You should send at least one (1) clear head shot and one (1) clear body shot. Your head shot should clearly show your entire face, and your body shot should give us a good idea of your build and body type. We suggest that females wear swimsuits and males wear swimsuits or boxer shorts. Please DO NOT send any nude photographs or images with provocative content. Keep your submissions limited to these requirements. Sending a large amount of pictures doesn't help us, we will ask for more if we need it. Yes. All pictures should be in digital form, in .jpeg format, scanned in 72 dpi. An easy way to accomplish this is to take them to a copy center or photography store that has a picture scanner. They will put your pictures on disk and you can email them to us. To insure that your pictures open so we can see them, make sure that you paste them into your email or add them as an attachment.
No, we do not return your pictures or compcards.
In Los Angeles, as a rule representation is exclusive to the area. One agency can represent you commercially and printwise, another agency can represent you theatrically, and another agency can represent you for print. However, you cannot be represented by two agencies in the same area.
Even if you are participating in another model search or convention, you are still welcome to send your pictures directly to RED TALENT. Although our representatives attend a few of the larger conventions on a regular basis, you do not need to wait to send us your material. Before participating in any model search or convention, you should carefully check references and verify that they are 100% legitimate. Remember, a licensed agency DOES NOT charge you to review your pictures.
